On the 22nd January 2019, our team at director-e headed off to the massive Printwear & Promotion LIVE exhibition that took place at the NEC in Birmingham. The dreary weather didn’t get us down as the huge amount of companies, attendees and bright and beautiful clothing was more than enough to keep our spirits high!
The Printwear & Promotion LIVE exhibition celebrated its 30th anniversary by hosting its largest ever show on the 22nd January. The exhibition is the only one of its kind dedicated to the print garment industry and garnered over 5,000 individual attendees in 2018. Over 150 suppliers were present to exhibit their individual ranges of clothing that ranged from PPE to Sportswear. The show aimed to inspire businesses with features of interactive workshops and seminars, a Fashion Show, a skate ramp and the chance to talk with the stall owners about their businesses and brands.
The sheer amount of stalls that were in attendance, the quantity of clothing, accessories, printing machines and range of accessories, left the attendees of Printwear & Promotion LIVE with no doubt of just how big the Corporate Clothing, PPE, Sportswear and Workwear industry is. In 2018, Printwear & Promotion LIVE had 3,500 businesses in attendance and the numbers looked to be just as large in the 2019 show.
The impressive range of stalls and businesses didn’t manufacture an intimidating or unapproachable vibe – on the contrary, the vast amount of products and business opportunities meant that the attendees could network, research and even watch as company experts guided them through the different options and decisions that went into their company processes.
Each stall was unique to its company and the size and flare of each let the attendees immediately get a sense of the individuality of the company they were visiting. Each company had a vast array of beautiful clothes and products for the attendees to peruse and examine.
It was great to touch bases with so many familiar faces at the Printwear & Promotion LIVE exhibition and check in with their company development. It is difficult not to be impressed with the sheer amount of expertise and clothing options available to the buyer and we hope that our friends got just as much out of the exhibition as we did.
It was also lovely to introduce ourselves and our publication to the new businesses that attended the show this year and hopefully begin a future working relationship with them. One of the great things about the Printwear & Promotion LIVE exhibition was that it was a brilliant networking opportunity for a huge range of businesses. Luckily, the exhibition is an annual event so if you happened to miss it this year then don’t panic!
